Taipei - Taiwan has developed a very small microchip that can make a laptop or cell phone (mobile phone) will be cheaper and lighter, researchers said Wednesday.
National Nano Equipment Laboratory-supported country town located in northern Hsinchu said that his party has been successfully packing more transistors into a space smaller chips than anything so far.
"Electronic equipment such as mobile phones and laptops can be smaller, lighter and cheaper with this technology," said Yang Fu-Liang, head of the laboratory.
We have sometimes laptop weighs about 1.5 kilograms, while the latest developments that could notebook computers lightweight weighing 500 grams.
"This is certainly the most advanced chip technology that ever existed," said Nobunaga Chai, an analyst at Digitimes, an industry publication based in Taipei
