"Typing on IM much faster than sending an email or pick up the phone. IM is a communication tool that is more easily used when communicating with colleagues, leaders and even the client, and allows me to send the document and discuss the specific visualization directly," said Mohammad Reza Khadafi, 29, a creative worker.
In fact, IM is has become the main communication instrument in the office. Nearly one third (37.7%) respondents said they use instant messaging to communicate with colleagues; 12.1 percent of the clients; and almost 10 percent with their leaders. Not only serves as a communication tool, 60.5 percent of users use IM to send documents, which add to the efficiency of employees.
"With IM, you can find the person we are communicating are on the desk or attending meetings. If they exist, they will respond immediately, if not, we are now looking for another," he added in a written statement Khadafi received detikINET, Tuesday ( 17/11/2009).
In the offices that prohibits downloading IM tools, people often use the program web-based Instant Messaging. But the use of Web IM is not just limited while he was in office. According to the survey, more than 40 percent of respondents stated that they felt more secure using a Web-based IM platform through a public computer.
